The Hold Me Tight® Program was developed by Dr. Sue Johnson and is designed around seven conversations based on the Hold Me Tight book, all of which have been shown to be essential to successful relationships.

You will learn how to understand and improve your relationship through presentations, private exercises and conversations with your partner and by watching video demonstrations of other couples, in either 8 weekly group sessions or an intensive 2 day weekend workshop

During the program, you will get the tools to help you and your partner foster secure and lasting bonds that last a lifetime. You will get the tools to:

  • Recognize the ‘demon dialogues’ that all couples get caught in and discover what you are really trying to say to each other
  • Explore your feelings and needs underneath your behaviors
  • Deepen both emotional and physical intimacy
  • Repair and forgive old attachment injuries
  • Discover deep emotional connection that creates greater bonding and can keep your love alive so your relationship becomes the safe harbor it was meant to be

Hold Me Tight® is an educational workshop not meant to replace couples or individual therapy. If you have any questions regarding the appropriateness of the weekly group sessions or intensive workshop for yourself or your partnership, please contact Dr. Delshad.

the heart and hope of this workshop:

this conversation moves partners into being more accessible, emotionally responsive, and deeply engaged with each other.

Forgiving Injuries—Injuries may be forgiven but they never disappear. Instead, they need to become integrated into couples’ conversations as demonstrations of renewal and connection. Knowing how to find and offer forgiveness empowers couples to strengthen their bond.
